What got you into skydiving?
Had a friend bring in a video at work, and I made an appointment that day.
Do you remember your first jump? What was going through your mind?
Of course! And I’m pretty sure “Oh shit this is happening” was about it.
When did you realize this was more than just a hobby?
From my first tandem I knew I wanted to do something in this sport.
What keeps you coming back?
It really is the coolest job in the world. Beats any 9-5.
Funniest thing that’s happened while skydiving?
You would have to be there, but the looks from some people on the plane are hilarious.
Favorite type of jump?
I like flying video for tandems, and big ways.
Go-to hype song before a jump?
Red Cold River – Breaking Benjamin.
What would you be doing if you weren’t skydiving?
Probably still be a cable tech.
What separates a good instructor from a great one?
Ones that do it for the love of the sport, and not just a pay check.
What’s the biggest lesson skydiving has taught you?
Ego will get you killed. Be coachable.

It was a 3 way with my friends Zack and Joy during an eclipse (like 70%) in 2017.
